There is much to say about the newest adaptation of Frank Millers’ work. 300 is simply put the story of three hundred Spartan warriors that will stand against the armies of the Persian Empire. Lead by their King, Leonidas and despite the odds they will march to glory and face their oppressors in battle. THIS IS SPARTA!
That line is one of the strong simple one liners you will find in the movie. There is a fair share of blood and naked skin through the entire movie and these warriors, few in numbers, are a concentrate of men power, warrior skills and muscles. The world-wide release is estimated to have gathered $76,225,000 in it’s first week-end. Many movies made the list of box office smash but not all of them are that good and worth a while.

However the movie was well balanced and it reminded me of Gladiator. I won’t hide it, the ending was bitter as you can expect (story wise) but the visuals alone were worth the money. You feel like they took the time to edit every single shot, it’s polished, gory and is in line with Sin City. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s really a must see and is appropriate to a very large screen. The movie will appeal to both male and female audience; there are good conclusions to draw from this story. Very inspiring. I’ll give it a 9 out of 10 or something.
